Fifteen coaching schools — and the question of which one you need right now

How a top executive grows themselves and their business. Coaching, psychology and NLP brought together on one map: three parts, twenty-four chapters and a navigator appendix that answers a practitioner’s main question — the right method for the task, not a method in general.

01 — How it is built

A map, not a list of techniques

There are plenty of books about individual coaching methods. A practitioner’s problem is different: there are fifteen methods, and a specific task of a specific person has to be solved. The book gives coordinates for choosing a method instead of trying them one after another.

Three modes

E-A-X: search, adaptation, doing

Which mode a person is in right now determines which tool will work at all. The same three modes as in the QAC model, only at the scale of one person.

Six facets

D1–D6: a map of where it hurts

Six areas where a top executive gets stuck. Diagnostics starts with the facet, not with the coach’s favorite method.

Fifteen schools

One map instead of fifteen faiths

GROW, Solution-Focused, CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, emotional intelligence, positive psychology, somatic, ontological, narrative, Gestalt, Appreciative Inquiry, systemic, vertical development, NLP — each has its own place and its own limits.

Three numbers

Measurability instead of arguments

A session meta-protocol, three indicators and an honest chapter on the evidence: where there is science, where there is practice and where to be careful. Plus worked transformation cases.

02 — What’s inside

Twenty-four chapters in three parts

Part I. Why it matters and how it works

  1. Why a top executive needs a coach — and why this isn’t “snake oil”
  2. Three modes: search, adaptation, doing (E-A-X)
  3. Six facets: a map of where it hurts (D1–D6)
  4. Fifteen schools, one map

Part II. The tools: method by method

  1. GROW: from goal to plan
  2. Solution-Focused: what works when it works
  3. CBT coaching: thought as a lever
  4. ACT: moving toward your values alongside fear
  5. Motivational Interviewing: your own reason to change
  6. Emotional intelligence: emotion as data
  7. Positive psychology: building on strengths
  8. Somatic coaching: the body knows first
  1. Ontological coaching: who is acting
  2. Narrative coaching: rewriting the story you tell about yourself
  3. Gestalt coaching: freedom begins with awareness
  4. Appreciative Inquiry: growing from the best
  5. Systemic coaching: seeing the invisible system
  6. Vertical development: not what you know but how you think
  7. NLP: a toolkit, not a worldview

Part III. System and trust

  1. The session as a system: the meta-protocol
  2. Measurability: three numbers instead of arguments
  3. An honest look at the evidence: where there’s science, where there’s practice, where to tread carefully
  4. Transformation cases
  5. Conclusion: assemble your own map

Plus three appendices: the navigator map “the right tool for the task,” the evidence at a glance and an index of methods. Twenty-seven illustrations.

03 — Where the method comes from

Quantum Coaching grew out of the QAC model

The Quantum Coaching method is Galina Malysheva’s own development based on Sergey Parshakov’s QAC model, with his consent. The same three modes and the same logic of domains, only carried over from the scale of an organization to the scale of a person.

A separate chapter takes an honest look at NLP: we take the tools, not the worldview — and say plainly where the evidence base ends. The book doesn’t sell a faith; it gives you a map.

05 — Working with the method

The book gives you the map — the work happens in sessions with the authors

If the map shows where you are stuck, the next step is to work through it one-on-one. The method has two coaches; you choose by the facet where it hurts. The first 30-minute diagnostic is free.
