Stop waiting for happiness like a train on a platform — and start walking
“Once I finish this, once the kids grow up, once things get easier — then I’ll really start living.” This book is about happiness being not a station but the road itself: moving in harmony with what truly matters to you. Four parts and fourteen chapters — from the compass of values and self-love to the couple, the family and work that warms you.

Bezpopechenie is neither carelessness nor inaction
An old Russian word, and the “z” in it is not a typo: it means living free from anxious care. Carelessness neither acts nor loves. Inaction loves but doesn’t act. Bezpopechenie acts and loves — only without strain: do what you can, and entrust the rest to the Greater.
The compass: happiness is movement
Happiness as a road, not a destination. Your own values instead of other people’s “musts.” And bezpopechenie itself: where there is calm effort and where there is anxious strain.
In harmony with yourself
Self-love without the condition “I’ll be enough when…” The inner critic that pretends to be your conscience. Your body and your age — without a war with the mirror.
The circle of love: couple and family
Partnership is a union, not a deal. Two people looking in the same direction. The family as a living garden, not a fortress. And how to let go of those who have grown up.
Work and wholeness
Work that warms you instead of burning you up. And all the roles — mother, wife, daughter, a woman with her own work — gathered into one whole life.

A story, a practice and one phrase to keep in your pocket
Every chapter is built the same way, so you can open the book wherever it speaks to you today. The story of a woman in whom it is easy to recognize yourself. A “values check” practice — with paper and pen. “One small step” for today. And a lighthouse phrase you will want to write down.
A book for a woman who is tired of anxiously holding on — and wants to finally start walking. It is support, not a substitute for a specialist’s help: if things have been seriously hard for a long time, you need a real person beside you — someone close, a doctor, a psychologist.
“Happiness is not a station. It is the road itself.”
“Values are not what you judge by. They are what you walk by.”
“Work should warm you, not burn you up.”
